Panorama (the Right of View)

In response to the many faces of Istanbul, Andreas Fogarasi plans to install a panorama in four successive locations over a twelve-month period. He is extending his investigation from previous work into the ways in which culture is branded and interpreted (be it through communication design, industrial design or architectural history).

Istanbul offers a multiplicity of very different contexts for artistic intervention which makes it very challenging to create a work for ‘the’ city. And there is a critical and active public, itself involved in a historical and social mapping of the city. (Andreas Fogarasi)
